Applicants must have experience of working with the elderly, ideally in a residential setting and have knowledge of the needs of the elderly. Applicants must also have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and have the ability to deal with incontinence and personal care. Working in a residential care home for the frail and elderly, You will provide and promote, through high standards of a professional practice, a caring environment conductive to the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the residents, administer medication, support residents during visits from GP's or nurses, feeding back to the senior team and updating records and carry out appropriate manual handling activities. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by employer.
